Long awaited Just Cause 3 is now being dissected by me. The game that would cause Michael Bay to cry with joy and where explosions have explosions – exploseption… (lame!). After the release of Just Cause 2, one of my favourite games in the PS3/Xbox360 generation, I just couldn’t wait to play the new one. Is this game up to the legend of Rico Rodriguez?
You simply don’t play this game for the story. The only reason to play the story is to move from one side of the map to the other. If you play this game for the story, expect the most cheesy and full of clichés narrative ever, and that’s why I like it. There are some explosions midway through – that is to say, throughout the entire game…
The plot isn’t great, and the characters are a bit lame… This game is beautiful (tear drops). If you are still reading this, get out of here and go play this game. Just shut your brain off and have the most fun you’ll never experience with any other game.
Graphics and Sound
The world map is gorgeous, based on the Mediterranean islands of Greece, Malta and Italy. This game is perfect and you’ll destroy a lot of it. It’s a f@king huge map and you’ll take literally hours to walk from one end to the other. This series is known to have a lot of easter eggs, so explore the world and discover them all or check them on the internets.
The explosions are the best soundtrack ever but some of the music will block them. The sound effects and soundtrack are overall good
This bit will be huge…
Just Cause 3 is a game based on physics; it’s a playground to mess up. In the previous installment you had the parachute and the grappling hook. In this one you have the same things, plus a wingsuit that you can batman everywhere. With these three things, Rico Rodriguez doesn’t need a car, he can hijack a plane in mid-air.
I’m a huge fan of Just Cause 2, I’ve spent a lot of time in that game and I even made a short video of the game. When I went into this game, I noticed that the physics were a bit different: something in the handling of the cars and bikes was bit off. The bikes are very difficult to handle and the cars were glued to the floor. These issues didn’t ruin the experience and I still loved the game.
There are a lot of things to make other things explode and make cows fly…
I didn’t feel that this game was repetitive. It’s up to the player to make it interesting and fun. The most tedious task in the game is to traverse long distances, but you can explode stuff in the way to your location and make the trip quite fun.
It’s a great game that you will have tons of fun with. It’s beautiful with paradisaic scenarios and a lot of different places to see and explore. I have some issues with some parts of the physics, like the car and bike driving but that didn’t ruin my experience. Besides, who drives a car when you can fly like a badass?
If you like this game, you would probably like these as well:
- Just Cause 2
- Grand Theft Auto 5
If you got this far, I hope you’ve enjoyed it and see you around. Today I have a rubber duck for you.
Quack Quack BOOOOOM!!!!!
